Álvaro Pereira has been presented in his new club São Paulo. The new signing came from Inter on a 18-month loan with the option to buy:
“Physically, I’m 100%. In Europe we are in the middle of the season, I feel in shape. I have come to help the team, I can play both on the wing or in the middle. I made this choice with the heart. Everybody knows that I for a long time have wanted to come to São Paulo. It’s hard to explain. One time I went to play against Chile, we were going to catch a flight to São Paulo and then to Milan. Back then my father said to me that one day I had to play in this shirt. Today, that day has come . Outside Uruguay São Paulo is the most Urugayan club in the world. That is why I insisted so much. I promise no titles , I don’t promise a lot of things, but I swear that I will always give everything on the pitch. I ‘ve come here to win. If we stick together we will win. I would like to thank Diego Lugano who I talked a lot before I came here , the leaders of São Paulo who has put in a great effort and Inter because they understood what I wanted. ”
