Diego Milito was interviewed by Fox Sports alongside the farewell match organized by his brother Gabi: “I have a contract with Inter which expires in June. I’ve always said that my dream is to finish my career in Racing. I would love to return, but for that to happen we need to see what the other party thinks. But so far I haven’t received any calls. I would definitely like to wear Racing’s shirt again. We’ll see what happens.”

Two special moment for Il Principe: the league title in 1999 with Racing (Diego scored twice in the deciding match against Estudiantes) and the final in Madrid 2010: “Obviously two wonderful memories. Winning the league with Racing after a long time was something unique, as is the final of the Champions League. These are memories that will remain in my mind forever. The relationship with Inter is extraordinary, they have given me a lot and the chance to win a lot. Currently, Racing hasn’t called me, we’ll see if they will in the future. In Argentina, I really can’t see myself with another shirt. Stay in Europe? The possibility exists. We’ll see what my options are when my contract expires.”
