Andrea-Mandorlini

Hellas Verona’s coach and the former Inter player Andrea Mandorlini was interviewed by the Gazzetta dello sport before the game against the team that he has always been a supporter to:

On sunday you face Inter, your Inter. Do you still have Inter Channel?

“It’s true, I used to have Inter channel. I have never hidden my passion, when I was a kid I cheered for Inter and then I was lucky to play there. I won the “Scudetto dei record” and was coached by my master Trapattoni. For me this will never be a normal game, entering the San Siro is always special.”

Your memories from your Inter 1988/1989:

“A fantastic group. Great champions and a fantastic coach. I hear from Trapattoni now and then, I’ve stolen his way of handling the groups. He was always honest and direct. Before he left Inter he said: “I’m sorry because I didn’t play you much this season. But I’ll make it up to you when you stop playing because you’ll become a great coach” I talk a lot with Baresi, Ferri, Bergomi and Zenga also.”

Hellas Veronas tränare och den före detta Interspelaren Andrea Mandorlini intervjuades av Gazzetta dello sport inför matchen mot laget han alltid varit supporter till:

How do you feel for Moratti selling 70% of Inter to Thohir?

“I only believed it when it became official, I read that Pellegrini(Inter’s former president) invited Moratti to form an Italian group that were in control of the club. I was hoping for that solution, to bad it went another way.”

How do you see Mazzarri’s Inter?

“It’s a great coach who is building a team, I have a hard time seeing them fighting for the scudetto.”

Would you accept a draw at the San Siro?

“We never start as losers, because my Verona has a clear way of playing. But I’d accept a draw because that would make everyone happy.”

Everyone?

“Me and Verona.”
