Ricky Alvarez is interviewed tonight in the program “InterNOS” and excerpts from the interview has been posted on the official website:

“We have started well but it’s still early, we still have to improve many things. Nevertheless, I think the job we layed down in pre-season shows. We still lack a lot, we must keep our feet on the ground.”

There’s talk then about Inter-Juventus and the many fans who always support Inter:

“It’s true, they are with us, as always, and we are doing it as a duty on the pitch. Against Juventus, it was incredible to see the San Siro so full. Unfortunately we couldn’t bring home the three points, we did not succeed but it was nice anyway. You’re always happy when you see the stadium like this, it’s impressive. You feel you have to do well on the pitch because those watching you deserve it.”

On having football as a profession:

“For me it’s a pleasure, I feel fortunate that I have what I love as a job. I always thank God for giving me this opportunity. Football is always started as a game, as a child, and I think that the hardest thing is to succeed in seeing it as as a game even when you have it as a profession. Even if it is a commercial reality and we must take it seriously, you must never lose the playfulness.”

In the last match however, Ricky’s attitude showed when he won the ball against a player like Chiellini, which led to the first goal:

“In the match against Juventus it showed that we were three players who wanted to win the ball every time they had the ball. This is what we always do, modern football is played like this.”
