Inter striker Ishak Belfodil was interviewed by Algerian journalists when he joined the national team and he talked about his first time at Inter: “I’m not worried about my role on the Inter team. I expected a bit more of my debut, that’s true, but it is a great club and the competition is fierce. This must not discourage me because I am convinced that with a little patience I will be able to show what I can do and get onto the team.”

On the match Inter won 3-0 at Catania: “I was very happy to participate in my team’s victory in that game, although I only played a bit part of the game. I would have been even happier if I had been able to score but my appointment with the goal has only been postponed.”

The former Parma player finally talked about Algeria’s match against Mali: “Of course we have already qualified, but this should not prevent us from taking this match seriously as it gives us the opportunity to prepare further for the World Cup.”
