Former Italian World Cup-winning manager Marcello Lippi has released a statement on his views on the Serie A season so far. The tactician who’s currently head of Chinese team Guangzhou Evergrande stated that the season: “is exactly how I predicted it to be with Juventus and Napoli leading the way. Inter have made a good start to the season and Milan has had some difficulties following the big changes the team has gone through but have now found their way again.”

Lippi was also asked to give his view on the turbulent autumn Italian football has experienced but refused to provide the tabloids with a quote: “I refuse to comment on the different controversies in Italian football because I’m not interest in these things.”
