Andrea Romanò, Marco Benassi and Isaac Donkor are all Inter talents that made their debuts with the senior squad yesterday. This is something that makes Roberto Samaden, youth responsible at Inter, very proud:

“It’s always a great success for us when one of our own talents make their debut with the first team, no matter what the results are. It’s not a surprise for me that Benassi and Romanò played well.”

Samaden then discusses the youth system in Italy in a bigger perspective:

“I think it’s necessary to watch our youth system in Italy, we could perhaps get a second squad division. At Inter we have an academy of the highest european class and we have directors like Ausilio and Branca. Together with Stramaccioni who comes from the youth academy, the directors can make the right choices and choose the right path to go.
